Terms of Use

Last Updated: February 1, 2026

Effective: February 1, 2026

Welcome to AVVI.
AVVI was built to help families never miss important messages. We believe attention is personal, and trust is earned. This agreement explains how AVVI works, how we protect your information, and what you can expect when using our services.
By creating an account or using AVVI, you agree to the terms below.

1. What AVVI Is — and What It Is Not
AVVI is a personal operating system for attention. It helps you organize digital communications, highlight messages that require action, and remind you about important items before they are due.
AVVI works alongside the tools you already use, such as email and school communication platforms. It does not replace official school systems, and it does not act as the sender of school communications.
AVVI is a decision-support tool. You remain responsible for reviewing and responding to original messages.

2. Who Can Use AVVI
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are using AVVI on behalf of a child or household member, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
If AVVI is used as part of a school district pilot, your agreement is still directly with AVVI.

3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and connected communication channels. Please use strong passwords and keep your login information secure.
AVVI uses automated systems to organize messages into categories such as items that need attention now, items that can wait, and items that are handled. You can always review original messages and adjust how AVVI categorizes them.
Automated systems may not be perfect, and AVVI does not guarantee that every urgent message will be identified.

4. Your Privacy
Your trust matters to us.
AVVI processes connected communications only to help organize, prioritize, and remind you about important information. We may also use aggregated or de-identified data to improve how the system works.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your unrelated personal messages with advertisers.
We do not give school districts access to your full inbox.
If you participate in a school pilot, the district may receive limited confirmation signals, such as whether a message was marked received or acted upon. This visibility is restricted to engagement and acknowledgment data and does not provide unrestricted access to personal content.
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption and access controls, to protect your information.
For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.

5. Using AVVI Responsibly
AVVI is designed to protect families and schools. You agree not to misuse the platform. This includes attempting to interfere with how the system operates, accessing it through unauthorized methods, or attempting to extract or reverse engineer its underlying technology.
If misuse occurs, we may limit or suspend access in order to protect users and the integrity of the platform.

6. Ownership and Rights
You own your communications. Connecting your accounts to AVVI does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
To operate the Service, you grant AVVI permission to process and display your communications within the platform. This permission exists only to provide and improve AVVI’s features.
All software, decision systems, and design elements of AVVI remain the property of AVVI, Inc.

7. Service Availability
AVVI depends on third-party systems such as email providers and messaging platforms. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or perfect performance. Features may evolve over time as we improve the platform.
AVVI is provided on an “as is” basis. While we work hard to ensure reliability, your use of the Service is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AVVI is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, for example, missed communications due to third-party outages or incorrect categorization by automated systems.
If a legal claim arises, AVVI’s total liability will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you paid us in the six months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

9. Ending Your Use of AVVI
You may stop using AVVI at any time by deactivating your account.
We may suspend or terminate access if this agreement is violated, if misuse occurs, or if continued operation becomes legally or commercially impractical.
Certain provisions, including those relating to privacy and limitations of liability, will continue to apply after termination.

10. Updates to This Agreement
We may update this agreement from time to time. If changes are significant, we will provide notice. Continued use of AVVI after updates means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State]. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts of that state.
