Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 1, 2026
Effective: February 1, 2026
AVVI, Inc. (“AVVI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. AVVI was built to help families never miss important messages, and we understand that trust is essential when handling communications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
By using AVVI’s websites, applications, integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use AVVI, we collect information necessary to provide the Services. This may include your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, and information related to the communication channels you connect.
If you connect email, SMS, or school communication platforms, AVVI processes communications and related metadata in order to categorize, prioritize, and surface important messages. This may include message content, timestamps, sender information, subject lines, and other associated data required to organize communications within the platform.
We also collect usage information such as device type, browser type, IP address, log data, and interaction patterns within the platform. This information helps us operate, secure, and improve the Services.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to operate AVVI. We do not require social security numbers, financial account numbers, or unrelated personal data to use the core Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve AVVI. Specifically, we use data to organize and categorize communications, generate reminders, track confirmation signals, improve system performance, enhance user experience, and maintain platform security.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve our decision systems and better understand how users interact with the platform. Aggregated or de-identified data does not identify you personally.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your personal communications for advertising purposes. We do not provide advertisers access to your message content.
3. School Pilot Programs and District Reporting
If you participate in an AVVI pilot program in partnership with a school district, certain limited reporting may be provided to the district. This reporting may include confirmation signals, such as whether a communication was marked received or acted upon. Such reporting is limited to engagement metrics necessary to evaluate message acknowledgment and effectiveness.
School districts do not receive unrestricted access to your full inbox or unrelated personal communications. AVVI limits data sharing to the scope required to operate pilot programs responsibly and transparently.
4. How We Protect Information
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information under our control. These safeguards may include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, secure infrastructure practices, and data minimization procedures.
While we take security seriously, no system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for securing the devices you use to access AVVI.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you deactivate your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
6. Sharing of Information
We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the platform, such as hosting providers, infrastructure vendors, analytics services, and security partners. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of AVVI, our users, or others.
We do not share your personal communications with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You may update your account information at any time. You may disconnect connected communication channels and may deactivate your account if you no longer wish to use the Services.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To exercise such rights, you may contact us using the information below.
8. Children’s Information
AVVI is designed for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of thirteen. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If changes are significant, we will provide notice. Continued use of the Services after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
